This is a story about Fela Anikulapo Kuti; Nigerian political activist and musician. It was written in the form of poetry for children ages 6 years old through College. Further inspiration was sparked after Fela Kuti's music and legacy was re-introduced to the world through the Broadway show FELA! The Musical.

About the Author
Iris Wilson is an Original Cast Member of the 3-time Tony Award winning Broadway musical FELA! directed by Bill T. Jones and produced by Jay-Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Ruth and Stephen Hendel, Edward T. Nahem, and ?uestLove among others. Iris received her Masters in Dance Education from NYU. Iris has taught elementary, secondary, and college in both academic and dance for over (6) years. She is committed to preserving the arts in the classroom. Iris's other published work is: "Boys Dance Too". She has been featured on "The View, "The Colbert Report", "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon", and "The 2010 Tony Awards". When Iris is not choreographing dance and musical theater pieces, she is cultivating and nurturing her son Nangwaya's artistic talent, who also illustrated "Let Music Be The Weapon".
